United States claimed that it was pursuing the global dominance of the energy market irrespective of what happens to the fossil markets, although its claims have been proven unrealistic post the Saudi attacks last Saturday.
The market analysts have shown that United states can’t even manage its energy without cooperation of other nations let alone dominating the energy market and going independent. While the world is seeing a rise in protests from the people to urge the administrations to pay more heed to the climate emergency and take measures to combat it. United States government despite of its huge claims has not been able to show the world or its residents that the administration is taking steps to combat with this climate emergency. Now the united states are announcing major projects for renewable energy and making its people believe that it is working towards the clean and green vision. 120 MW Skipjack facility off the Maryland coast and the 1,100 MW Ocean Wind project off the coast of New Jersey are the two projects that are planned for the sustainable future of the nation. These facilities are expected to be commissioned in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Renowned Danish firm Orsted has chosen GE Renewable Energy as its preferred turbine supplier for two offshore wind farms in the U.S. GE Renewable Energy’s huge Haliade-X 12 MW wind turbines are expected to be used at the projects.
And some more projects are in the developmental stages, this however does not assure the people of United States that there are essential steps being taken in the direction of clean energy.
