United States has been making headlines for its energy preferences which seemed to be quite hazy to the world as the actions of the nation are failing to match its claims.
The United States has more consumption of energy as compared to most of the nations of the world. 65 percent of its energy needs are met by fossil fuels which are now seeing a declining o\trend as their popularity is falling and the resources that provide them are also depleting. U.S. Department of Energy’s EIA released its International Energy Outlook 2019 which has stated that the energy demands of the nation will be rising by 45 percent by 2050. The energy concerns are now rising as the world is pressurizing the United states to take by a Clean and green approach in the energy sector. With the world facing a climate emergency the United States is expected to cut down its contribution to the carbon emissions which are huge. The nation has been claiming to adopt a cleaner approach, but the actions say differently with the oil productions and funding’s in the oil and fossil sector not showing any signs of slowing down. Given that economic and population expansion are the primary indicators of more energy demand, global energy demand is set to boom 45% by 2050.
United States has to understand its role in the global stage and take responsibility and lead the world into a clean and green approach. The people in the United states are also now adopting the renewable and sustainable way of life.
