When we hear the name Scotland, we get a picture of a green grassland in all its glory that’s because Scotland has worked very hard to keep that impression of it in the eyes of the world intact.
As we all know Scotland is a remarkable example of how beautiful and serene our world can be with the use of clean renewable energy and other sustainable means of life. The Scottish government has a bill that is said to reduce the emissions substantially which is up for final vote in the parliament on September 25th. The bill is named Climate Change Bill. Environmental campaigners are calling on politicians to back stronger climate change targets as a bill goes to its final stage later this month. While Scotland’s declaration of a climate emergency is a positive step forward, politicians must use the Bill to sign our commitment to action into law. Tom Ballantine, chairman of Stop Climate Chaos Scotland said: “The world will be watching Scotland when the UN Climate Conference comes to Glasgow. After declaring that we are in a climate emergency, setting ambitious targets in this bill is the opportunity to match welcome words with serious action.
Scotland is keen to make a good effort at helping stop Climate change with everything that it can do in its power. If the world moves with the same approach as Scotland’s we would definitely defeat climate change in a matter of years and if not defeat or make any effect on it, we would have at least given our best and have no regrets about it.
