GE ENERGY WILL BE REPOWERING ITS WIND PROJECT IN LEEWARD

• In collaboration with greenfield 145 MW Aragonne Mesa wind project, the total wind farm output will go up to 235 MW
• Following this development, GE Renewable Energy will be providing a total of 86 2.x-127 and 2.3-116 wind turbine generators (WTG) to Leeward

According to a statement issued by GE Renewable Energy, the company has been chosen by Leeward Renewable Energy, LLC (Leeward) as its wind turbine technology partner in order repower its 90 MW Aragonne Wind project located in Guadalupe County, New Mexico, US. In collaboration with greenfield 145 MW Aragonne Mesa wind project, the total wind farm output will go up to 235 MW.
Following this development, GE Renewable Energy will be providing a total of 86 2.x-127 and 2.3-116 wind turbine generators (WTG) to Leeward. The Aragonne Wind repower will take over the project’s 90 existing units with new WTG technology and this will help in increased performance and reliability.
Meanwhile the US wind market is unshaken from the pandemic courtesy of companies like GE Renewable Energy, which was recognised by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) as one of leading makers of wind turbines in the country in 2019.
