The United States as huge as an economy it maybe isn’t always the best at making some good decisions as history has shown us.
The nation has always been the land of free and has been advertised the same way, but its ways are questionable from racism to false energy claims it has it all. With the climate, emergency announced the nation said that it would do everything possible to keep its emissions down and help the cause for a greater good. The nation despite their claims has also claimed energy dominance irrespective of what happens globally. Contradictory statements from the officials make us confused as to what the nation is up to. All claim and no implementation has been observed as the nation has not made any significant changes to control emissions or promote renewable energy. Instead, the common masses are urging the government to draft new laws and legislations to combat climate change. Even after a decade of rapid growth solar only contributed 2.4% of the electricity supply in the United States in 2018 and combined with the wind energy it only amounts to 9 percent of the energy mix of the nation.
The administration says it has seen an uptrend in the renewable energy market, but the common masses want the government to take some drastic steps and register as a pro-climate emergency nation which it has failed to do by its actions. It will be interesting to see how an economy-based 75 percent on fossils will turn around and come to renewable and clean energy.
