TÜV SÜD has inspected, for DekaBank, the technical basis of a major Scandinavian wind-energy venture. A total of 62 wind turbines, from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, will be constructed in North Sweden as part of the Stavro venture, in the coming 2 years. The sites of construction are Blackfjället and Blodrotberget.
TÜV SÜD makes substantial contribution to investment security while serving as lender’s technical advisor.
The Starvo venture will be built and managed Prime Capital for a consortium.
Construction began in this year’s March. The project’s date of completion lies in the later part of 2021.
DekaBank is financing the venture. DekaBank commissioned the testing and certification body TÜV Süd as Lendor’s Technical Advisor (LTA) prior to the construction with a comprehensive review of the technical basics.
Prime Capital’s Head of Infrastructure, Dr. Mathias Birnberg stated that teaming up with TÜV SÜD was very productive throughout the timespan. He added that the timely critical evaluation of the technical basis positively affects the effective realization and progress of the whole venture.
TÜV SÜD Industries Service GmbH’s Head of Wind Due Diligence stated that they are glad considering the amount of trust investors had laced in them and the fact that investors also delegated theme to deliver thorough technical aid throughout the phase of construction.
