Headquartered in Norway, international solar energy company REC has announced to begin the production of 72-cell REC Alpha Series solar panel. The latest venture will be the most powerful 72-cell panel in the world, with a 450 Wp and a module efficiency of 21.3 percent or 213 watts per square meter.
The REC Alpha 72 Series will further also generate enhanced energy supply which will help to drive down solar electricity generation costs for users. The recent development follows REC’s successful launch of the world’s most powerful 60-cell solar panel in 2019.

The REC Alpha 72 Series is a combination of heterojunction cell technology with advanced interconnection technology. Furthermore, the project is designed for commercial and industrial rooftop segment and for ground mount installations with space restrictions. It also has an absence of light-induced degradation (LID) and has best-in-class low temperature coefficient.
Sources further allege the system weighs only 23.5 kg, thus enabling portability and quicker and easier installation. The system also has one of the thinnest frames with 30mm, which ensures easy transport and more panels per pallet and container, thus minimizing transportation costs and is an environmental friendly practice.
