The involvement of 55 countries in the 21st edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (Wetex 2019) and the fourth Dubai Solar Show, the area’s biggest solar energy expo, was shared by The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa). Wetex is planned by Dewa and is under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and under the sponsorship of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of Dewa.
The two exhibitions will occur from October 21-23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Point. “Widespread international participation at the 21st edition of the exhibition brings out the high hopes in Wetex as a stage to explore the partnership between local and global leaders,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of Dewa.
“We look ahead with confidence and positive energy to the present version of Wetex, which will see the beginning of a range of cutting-edge smart innovations for the first time in the area, as well as the outcome of important research and development that will help in finding viable answers to the problems of energy and water-saving and environmental sustainability.”
Wetex and Solar Show will be under the coverage of Green Week, whose objective to increase awareness on the value of rationalization of energy and water consumption and to encourage a culture of environmental sustainability. It will also tell younger generations about how vital rationalization of electricity and water is and also about the conservation of natural resources, encouraging them to innovate new ideas that help the change towards a green economy.
