On Monday, hundreds of government officials came down to Abu Dhabi to join the annual meeting of the UAE executive.
Five hundred local and federal government officials across the country gathered in their third year for the first day of the meetings to discuss the projects and initiatives that will help drive the Emirates towards the objectives of the 2071 UAE Centennial.
The meeting was chaired by Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai’s Vice President and Ruler, and Sheik Mohamed bin Zayed, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander.
“On Monday, in the presence of the top 500 officials of the country, my brother Mohamed bin Zayed and I chaired the third annual meeting of the UAE Government. Eleven themes will be discussed, national projects will be launched and the Crown Princes will meet to discuss development coordination at all levels,” said Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid on Twitter.
“Our goal of the meetings is to unify the 10-year plan of the UAE.”
The opening speech began with Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future. He talked about the global position of the country and the need for continued co-operation between departments of government.
